Queen Elizabeth, who died on September 8, 2022, was well-known for keeping a journal on a regular basis.
Elizabeth's final journal entry was uncovered two years after her death, and it appeared to contain a note regarding an Edward.
In an updated version of Robert Hardman's history of King Charles, the author indicates that Elizabeth continued to keep a journal until her death, while living at the Scottish royal, Balmoral Castle.
"Her last entry was as factual and practical as ever," the note stated.
"It could have been describing another normal working day starting in the usual way - 'Edward came to see me' - as she noted the arrangements which her private secretary, Sir Edward Young, had made for the swearing-in of the new ministers of the Truss administration."
While Elizabeth kept a diary, she admitted in a previous documentary that it was nothing compared to how her great-great-grandmother kept it.
“I keep a diary, but not like Queen Victoria’s,” Elizabeth had said. “It’s quite small.”
Elizabeth also informed diarist Kenneth Rose that her hectic schedule stopped her from going into depth about certain occurrences.
"I have no time to record conversations, only events," she noted at the time.
