Days before Lisa Marie Presley's death, Prince Harry damaged Elvis Presley's Graceland. Late Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley's only daughter, spent her childhood at Graceland, the second-most-visited property in America, yet it left a lot to be desired for Britain's Prince Harry.
The Duke of Sussex revealed in his bombshell memoir Spare, released just days before Lisa's terrible death on January 12, how he genuinely felt about the home after initially visiting it in 2014 with brother Prince William, when in Memphis for a friend's wedding.
"I stood in one little room with loud furniture and shag carpet and thought, 'The King's interior designer must have been on LSD," Prince Harry said of his visit to Graceland, which is visited by around 650,000 people each year.
"People called the home a castle, a mansion, a palace, but it reminded me of the badger sett," Prince Harry added, referring to a lower ground floor residence at Kensington Palace.
The Duke of Sussex then characterised the mansion as 'dark and claustrophobic,' recalling asking, "The King lived here, you say? Really?”
Needless to say, Prince Harry's remarks regarding Graceland went viral following Lisa Marie Presley's death at the age of 54.
