Due to the incident, T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have left ABC News. Variety stated that Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes will not be returning to ABC News.
"After numerous fruitful discussions with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about various alternatives, we all concluded it's best for everyone that they move on from ABC News," the news division stated in a statement released Friday evening, January 27th, 2023.
"We appreciate their ability and dedication over the years and are grateful for their contributions."
A "decision for new co-hosts [of GMA3 and 20/20] will come later," the source noted.
The report comes after a source earlier told People that Holmes, 45, and Robach, 49, were unlikely to return to their present jobs with the network after they were removed from the air on December 5, 2022, as a result of the affair scandal.
"There are no talks concerning their future," claimed the insider. "ABC is wrapping up their probe."
"While it is doubtful they would return in the role they were in — the longer time passes, the less likely they will return — there are still open lines of contact and additional conversations about what will happen," the person stated.
On November 30, 2022, images of the co-hosts in a car, on a trip in upstate New York, and cosying up at a bar in New York City fueled dating rumours. Holmes and Robach had separate marriages. Holmes and Robach both deleted their Instagram accounts shortly after the photographs were published.
