According to an expert, Markle and Prince Harry were a tough royal pair to deal with.
In his book, author and historian Valentine Low describes how working for the Sussexes was a nightmare for the Royal courtiers.
"It was like working for a couple of teenagers," he tells Fox Digital.
"That's how they were," he says.
"They were a little obstinate. They were challenging. They were unruly and obstinate. " You look at all the things that Meghan and Harry did - for instance, private jets".
Mr Low went on to say that the pair took "many jets in a short period of time" during the summer of 2019.
"'Don't do that because you've been lecturing the world about environmental conservation and then you're on a private aircraft.' Which of them was the worst in terms of carbon emissions? "He stated.
"But they refused to listen to logic. And, of course, when the media learned about it, Harry was heavily chastised. They were simply tough to work with."
