Prince William is apparently done trying to mend his friendship with Prince Harry, with insiders stating that he is ready to move on from the turmoil.
According to sources close to the Prince of Wales, he has "made no attempt to talk to Prince Harry" since the publication of his explosive memoir Spare, and is keen to move on with as little turmoil as possible.
"William believes that Harry is all smoke and mirrors and cannot be trusted," a source told US Weekly. He's making an effort to go on with his life."
"There has been a tremendous breach of trust when Harry released some things about the Royal Family," the insider continued, alluding to Prince Harry's startling claims in his book, including one in which he claimed Prince William abused him physically.
"He (Prince William) grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor," Prince Harry said in his book, ghost-written by J.R. Moehringer. I lay there disoriented for a time before getting to my feet and telling him to go."
Despite putting this in his memoir, Prince Harry stated in a promotional interview that he would prefer to reconcile with his family, especially his father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William.
"Forgiveness is 100% a possibility because I would like to get my father back, I would like to get my brother back. "Right now, I don't recognise them, and I'm sure they don't recognise me," Prince Harry told ITV's Tom Bradby.
