Will Smith is preparing to explore the world in a new Disney Plus travel series, according to reports

 Will Smith is going to star in and executive produce the new Disney Plus travel series Pole to Pole.

Smith will travel the arduous 26,000-mile journey from the South Pole to the North Pole, as the show's title indicates.

Pole to Pole will be Smith's third National Geographic production, following Welcome to Earth and One Strange Rock.

Smith, Miguel Melendez, and Terence Carter serve as executive producers under Smith's Westbrook brand.

According to National Geographic Content president Courteney Monroe, the brand's "goal is to deliver bold, best-in-class stories that stimulate curiosity and motivate people to explore and care about our planet."

Pole to Pole's launch date has yet to be revealed.
