Ed Sheeran was in hot water after interrupting a Sky Sports interview, causing Manchester United fans to call him 'disrespectful.'
The 33-year-old singer made an unexpected cameo during an interview with manager Ruben Amorim after Manchester United's game against Ipswich on Sunday, November 24.
Kelly Cates, a Sky Sports broadcaster, paused her interview with Ruben to react on the Shape Of You singer's surprising entrance.
Kelly, hinting to his iconic gesture to pundit Jamie Redknapp, kindly reminded him, "Ruben may not want to talk to an Ipswich fan."
In response to the presenter's call, Jamie did not hesitate to politely dismiss the flawless popstar, saying, "Say hello in a minute."
Fans couldn't contain their rage, filling the comments area with angry insults directed at the singer.
One user complained, "Embarrassing from Sky as usual!! Disrespectful of the gaffer. I'm almost halfway through my first interview with him. I would avoid talking to them in the future!"
