Ex-England rugby star Mike Tindall, who married into the royal family, has spoken out about his marriage to Princess Anne's daughter Zara.
The 46-year-old discussed the difficulties he has had in his marriage to Zara, admitting that things aren't "that easy".
Tindall opened out about his marriage to King Charles III's niece Zara during an appearance on the ITV show Grand Slammers.
Zara's famous spouse went on to say, "Everyone thinks that simply because I married Zara, everything is wonderful and dandy... But that does not change the fact that you need a job."
He did not disguise the harsh reality of life's changes, as indicated. "And it's not that easy, you know - you get quite institutionalised into rugby, it's a way of life and you leave the game and that's not there."
"I don't believe you can ever articulate what it's like to be accustomed to being around so many people and understanding, because it's engrained in you, where you belong in and then not being that person.
Mike also attempted to convey what his wife thought, adding, "Zara would say it was probably a year it took me to figure out what I was, who I was going to be."
Mike Tindall continued: "You've got to then go carve where the next path is - you can never replace going to work with 35 of your best friends every day."
