Prince Harry has finally broken his silence, making an important statement to commemorate Veterans Day and Remembrance Day.
The Duke of Sussex has issued his first remark since Kate Middleton joined King Charles and Prince William on Remembrance Day in the absence of Queen Camilla.
In his message, King Charles' younger son Harry wrote: "My Fellow Veterans, as we commemorate both Veterans Day and Remembrance Day, I reiterate my everlasting respect and appreciation for the service and sacrifice you and your family have given both in times of strife and peace.
Prince Harry went on: "You have played an important role in defending the values of liberty, freedom, and security."
In a special homage to the slain soldiers, Harry stated: "These values bind us together and have shaped you as leaders and role models."
Prince William's brother also emphasized unity and harmony, saying: "At a time of global uncertainty, remember the unity and purpose that characterized your service, and do not be afraid to put that into action in your communities.
Meghan Markle's husband went on to say, "That same attitude should lead all of us in meeting today's issues. Your example and morals illustrate that genuine strength is found in our capacity to band together and overcome the challenges that lie ahead.
"As you continue to serve - making valued contributions to communities, colleagues, households and all those we love - my hope is that our communities will continue to serve your needs too."
The Duke concluded: "To everyone who have served—past and present—I offer my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude. Your contribution has had a long-term, beneficial influence on our communities, nations, and common future. I am delighted to stand beside you."
The father of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet made the comments after prominent members of the royal family gathered in London on Remembrance Sunday to remember Britain's dead troops and women.
Harry's latest remark comes as King Charles and the royal family celebrate Queen Camilla by presenting a clip from her new documentary.
