Prince William and Kate Middleton are growing concerned for their safety after narrowly escaping a menacing incident at their Windsor home.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, who live in Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor grounds, were only minutes away from a heist attempt last week.
According to royal photographer Arthur Edwards, the pair is "burning the midnight oil" to settle things right following the surprise security incident.
According to The Sun, the two masked men who attacked the site to take agricultural vehicles "must have been watching Windsor Castle for a while".
The attackers reportedly destroyed the gate that William and Kate frequently use because it is close to their Adelaide Cottage.
"They must be quite scared. "I bet they've been burning the midnight oil trying to figure that out," Edwards told the publication.
He also stated that "nothing is perfect," and that because the estate is "vast," the perpetrators "wouldn't have gotten too close to the house anyway."
Edwards went on to say that the break-in was "frightening" and that Prince William "would have been quite concerned."
"It is very important to keep the Royal Family safe and I imagine William probably had some questions to ask, but they just went for the vehicles, not to harm anybody," he told me.
The announcement comes on the heels of Kate's impending Christmas Carol event, to which the future Queen is also sending invitations.
Kate missed the annual diplomatic luncheon at Buckingham Palace, which William had attended.
