Wolfs, starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, will not get a sequel, despite being confirmed by streaming provider Apple TV+.
However, Apple teased another installment, but director Jon Watt quashed the notion and cancelled the film.
Watts was approached by Collider's Steve Weintraub about his upcoming projects.
During the conversation, the Spider-Man: Homecoming creator added, "I don't know what I'm directing next, and I don't think there will be a Wolfs sequel."
However, the 2024 action-thriller got mixed reviews, the most of which were positive. The on-screen connection between Clooney and Pitt transported audiences back to the period of Ocean's Eleven.
The finale plainly indicated that it may lead to a continuation, which is now out of the question.
Matt Dentler, the CEO of Apple Original Films, said in a statement that when Jon approached him to present the idea for the action film, it was an easy decision for him because George and Brad were involved.
Wolfs featured two skilled actors doing some exciting action feats. The film's narrative focuses around two professional fixers who are compelled to collaborate to cover up a major murder.
