Xiaomi plans to showcase its Mix Flip 2 foldable smartphone on July 26 at a launch event in China. Along with the new foldable, the business will launch a number of other devices, including the Redmi K80 Ultra, Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro, and Redmi K Pad. The event will also feature the launch of Xiaomi's newest electric SUV, new TWS earbuds, and wearables. Xiaomi has stated that it would introduce a new pair of AI-powered smart glasses that are set to compete with Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses.
Xiaomi Teases New Smart Glasses
Xiaomi disclosed in a Weibo post that its Al Glasses would be introduced on June 26 at 7 p.m. (4:30 p.m. IST). The trailer has the phrase 'next generation of personal smart gadget' and depicts a person wearing the item. They are seen with built-in cameras, and the brand's teaser trailers stress the smart glasses' ability to capture first-person perspective footage.
Xiaomi's AI Glasses are set to compete directly with Meta's Ray-Ban smart eyewear. The glasses might include an integrated audio module. Given the popularity of Ray-Ban Meta glasses, big firms such as Apple and Google are likely to release new AI-powered wearables with greater functionality and lower prices.
The Chinese tech company had previously announced that the Mix Flip 2, Redmi K80 Ultra, Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro, and Redmi K Pad will be unveiled on June 26. The event will also feature the debut of new accessories, including the Smart Band 10, Watch S4 41mm, and Open Earphones Pro. The Xiaomi YU7 electric vehicle will also make its formal debut during the event.
Xiaomi is continuously teasing the features of its forthcoming products via Weibo. The Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 is expected to launch with a 4.01-inch cover display and a 6.86-inch internal display. It has a Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU and a 5,165mAh battery that supports 50W wireless charging.
