Queen Camilla is recovering from a chest illness that forced her to miss royal responsibilities.
She is now preparing to resume engagements by holding a reception for the 2024 Booker Prize nominated authors, indicating indications of healing following a time of recuperation, according to GB News.
Camilla, 77, canceled all commitments this week to recuperate, but Buckingham Palace has informed that she plans to resume activities by next Tuesday's Booker Prize celebration.
While her health improves, Camilla will forgo the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey, where the Duchess of Gloucester will take her place. She also declined to attend an Olympic and Paralympic athletes' banquet at Buckingham Palace, which King Charles had hosted.
A Palace official stated, "Her Majesty The Queen is now ill with a chest ailment, for which her physicians have recommended a brief period of rest... She apologizes to everyone who may be inconvenienced or dissatisfied as a result.
The Queen is still under medical supervision, but she expects to attend this weekend's Remembrance activities as planned.
