In the midst of Kate Middleton's sensational Christmas Carol Concert, King Charles issued a statement honoring his sister, Princess Anne.
The royal family's official Instagram page shared a video of Princess Royal during her visit at National Coastwatch Shoreham to meet the volunteers who defend valuable lives.
The note accompanying the rare video snippets says, "It was an inspiring morning hearing from volunteers at @nationalcoastwatchinstitution on how they keep people safe along the coast - we are grateful for all that you do!"
"The Princess Royal, Royal Patron of the National Coastwatch Institution (NCI), recently visited @ncishoreham, one of 60 National Coastwatch stations in the UK that are totally managed by volunteers. This is HRH's seventh visit to an NCI station this year.
The statement continued: "During her visit, The Princess met watchkeepers, received a briefing on the risks and hazards along this busy stretch of the South Coast, and presented service awards to dedicated NCI volunteers at a reception."
It is worth noting that the royal family has not provided any updates on Princess Kate's major Christmas function, which took place in Westminster Abbey on December 6.
