In the forthcoming ITV1 documentary, My National Gallery, which commemorates the 200th anniversary of the National Gallery, Princess Eugenie will play a new role.
The program, which will debut on December 30, commemorates the gallery's founding in 1824 and includes contributions from notable individuals such as Michael Palin and Claudia Winkleman.
The princess, 34, who has a strong love for art, considers her own relationship with the gallery.
During her interviews for the documentary, Eugenie talks about how painting was a big part of her school days and how she enjoyed drawing at the National Gallery when she visited.
In documentary advertising photos, Eugenie is shown posing next to an important piece of art while sporting a stylish teal coat and a silver pendant.
She cites The Madonna of the Basket by Antonio de Correggio as a particularly significant piece, explaining how it speaks to her connection to the gallery and her artistic pursuits.
Princess Eugenie shares her own artistic journey through My National Gallery, joining other royals like as Prince William and Queen Camilla in honoring the institution's cultural value.
"I've chosen Correggio Madonna of the Basket and it's from 1524."
The princess considers how the piece of art came to be at the National Gallery in the first place.
"Who knows its journey its been on, how it got to us, but it's here and we're able to admire it," she continued.
