Jim Carrey's decades-old series has received an interesting revamp from filmmaker Bobby Farrelly.
While promoting their latest comedy picture Dear Santa, the Farrelly brothers, Bobby and Peter, chatted with a newspaper and revealed some details regarding a new installment of Dumb and Dumber, which was originally published in 1994.
While talking about their next projects, the brothers stated that they would never rule out the possibility of another sequel.
Bobby said to Collider: "We could never rule out maybe doing another Dumb and Dumber, and this year's the 30th anniversary."
"Maybe on the 40th anniversary, since we like Jim [Carrey] and Jeff [Daniels]. We had so much fun making these that we could definitely do it again.
Meanwhile, Peter added that the idea for a new entry has already been discussed, and the Mask actor has proposed a name for the upcoming part.
"And Jim wanted to call it Gum and Gummier," he informed the director.
The first picture starring Carrey and Jeff Daniels was released in 1994. Later, the comedy film had a sequel in 2014, named Dumb and Dumber To.
