A royal specialist has described Kate Middleton, who failed to gain a major title, as the ideal future Queen.
Princess Catherine has been nominated for Time Person of the Year 2024, among nine other high-profile figures. Donald Trump, who was re-elected as President of the United States last month, has been awarded the title.
According to the site, the prize will go to the individual who has had the most effect on the world, good or bad, in the preceding year.
Although she was not given the title, royal analyst Richard Fitzwilliams said ahead to the winning announcement that he thought Kate would have been deserving of the Time award because of her "charm, poise, and a wonderful flair for fashion, the ideal consort for our future king."
Princess Kate, who recently attended her fourth 'Together At Christmas' carol service in London, "stirred a conversation about privacy and health for public figures".
Despite pulling away from the royal limelight for much of the year following her cancer diagnosis in March, Kate has lately returned to public service, making her first appearance of 2024 at this year's Trooping the Colour in June.
