Kate Middleton, The Princess of Wales, stunned fans as she appeared at Westminster Abbey on Friday to lead her family in the much-anticipated Christmas carol concert following the most difficult year of her life.
Princess Kate, Prince William's wife, looked stunning in a festive red coat with a dramatic bow accent as she began the much-anticipated "Together At Christmas Carol Service" at ancient Westminster Abbey.
The 42-year-old was beaming and in good spirits as she hosted her fourth 'Together At Christmas' carol service, which will be broadcast on Christmas Eve.
The princess, who has been 'hands on' with every element of the event and attended frequent preparation meetings at Windsor, arrived on her own to tour the abbey and oversee last-minute arrangements.
The mother of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis looked absolutely stunning in an Alexander McQueen coat. She wore her black Ralph Lauren boots for the event.
She will be joined shortly before the event begins by her three children and her husband, Prince William, the Prince of Wales, who will read the first Lesson.
Kate was preoccupied with her career and children at this time last year, looking forward to the holiday season with no idea of what was ahead.
However, weeks later she received devastating news about her health and underwent extensive abdominal surgery in the hospital, following which physicians informed her that they had discovered signs of cancer and ordered her to begin a grueling course of prophylactic chemotherapy.
The whole Middleton family clan, who have been the much-loved princess's devoted support network during her terrible period, will be there, as will other members of the royal family. However, King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla, are anticipated to attend the service.
