The Princess of Wales took center stage today as the UK welcomed Qatar's Amir, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani for an official two-day state visit.
Princess Kate, joined by Prince William, welcomed Qatari leaders to London on behalf of King Charles III.
The day began with a lavish ceremony at Horse Guards Parade, where the Amir and Sheikha Jawaher were given a ceremonial welcome, replete with military honors, before being formally met by the King at the Royal Pavilion.
Princess Kate and Prince William also joined the royal guests in the annual carriage parade along The Mall to Buckingham Palace, demonstrating the continued strength of the Royal Family's unified front.
While the Princess will not be attending tonight's banquet, her major position throughout the day demonstrates her rising status in the monarchy.
