Harrison Ford isn't only about Hollywood.
The Hollywood star may be leaving acting for "other things in life" shortly. In a February 5 interview with the Wall Street Journal, the iconic actor, 82, disclosed that he is thinking about retiring from acting.
"But I wanna finish what I'm doing," Ford said, alluding to his ongoing parts in Apple TV+'s Shrinking and Paramount+ 1923.
Once those projects are completed, the Hollywood star plans to spend more time traveling and "being with his family."
"I'd like to spend more time flying," added Ford, an accomplished pilot. "I'd like to spend more time with my family at home."
Ford, a father of five, has been dating actress Calista Flockhart since 2002 and is married to her since 2010. He also adopted Flockhart's kid, Liam.
"I have things in my life outside of movies," Ford explained, underlining his goals outside Hollywood.
Despite plans to retire, Ford is scheduled to feature in one more major picture, Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World." He will play "U.S. President Thaddeus Ross" in the next film, succeeding the late William Hurt in the role.
Ford commented on his choice to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, saying, "I've always wanted to work in different genres for different audiences."
While his retirement intentions are not written in stone, Ford's recent comments indicate that his illustrious Hollywood career may soon come to an end.
