Prince William shocked supporters with a heartfelt statement at a critical occasion, while his brother Prince Harry cried during the Invictus Games 2025 closing ceremony.
The Prince of Wales pleased the audience with a pre-recorded speech at the 2025 EE BAFTAs, despite missing the star-studded ceremony due to a Caribbean vacation with his wife Kate Middleton and children.
According to Hello! Magazine, the future King filmed his speech while visiting the London Screen Academy a few days ago.
Notably, William has served as the president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts for several years.
He made a sincere address, saying, "Good evening, everyone. As President of BAFTA, I'm happy to mark the twentieth anniversary of the Rising Star Award, named after Mary Selway."
He continued, "What a 20-year run and what a lineup of tremendous talent! Since 2006, this award has not only recognized the industry's emerging talents, but also inspired the next generation of acting talent to pursue their aspirations."
"The five incredibly talented people nominated tonight demonstrate a remarkable range of performances and have each captured the imagination of audiences over the last year."
"Judging by the international success of the previous nominees and winners of this award, I am certain we will be seeing much more of their work over the next twenty years and beyond."
At the conclusion of his address, William invited two past winners of the EE Rising Star Award, James McAvoy and Letitia Wright, to reveal this year's candidates.
