Travis Kelce is attempting to make up for his past shortcomings by emphasizing Taylor Swift's competence.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end attributed his team's success in reaching the 2025 Super Bowl, where they will face the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9 at the Mercedes Dome in New Orleans, to Swift's stunning Eras Tour choreography.
"We both love to materialize things," he stated at a news conference in New Orleans. "And you can't argue it's not real, because we're here, right? Whatever she was doing, I am confident it was beneficial."
He said on not being able to support the singer-songwriter during her huge successes, "For me not to be here supporting her during those weeks, it made me feel like I was there."
The Blank Space vocalist supposedly materialized the Chiefs' triumph with a scripted gesture she did during her Eras Tour appearances in New Orleans last October.
Swift mimed a football throw and touchdown gesture while performing Midnight Rain at the Mercedes Dome, forecasting the Chiefs' future success there.
The words "He never thinks of me / except when I'm on TV" took on new meaning in retrospect.
