Adobe unveiled a number of new features and enhancements at its annual Adobe Max conference on Thursday. The software company introduced new Firefly artificial intelligence (AI) models, support for third-party models, new Adobe Express capabilities, and a new Firefly mobile app. The business also introduced the Adobe Boards tool for storyboard production and the Vector model, which allows designers to create editable vector-based artworks. The business also revealed that its Adobe Firefly Video model, which was teased last year, is now accessible to all members.
Adobe Firefly Image 4 AI Models Released
In a blog post, the software behemoth described two new text-to-image AI algorithms. The Image Model 4 and Image Model 4 Ultra are the successors of the company's Image Model 3 series, which debuted last year.
Adobe says that the Model 4 series will provide considerable improvements in accuracy, quick fidelity, and realism in created pictures. The Firefly picture Model 4 is designed for speedier picture production, and the manufacturer claims it is best suited for producing simple graphics, icons, and photo objects.
On the other hand, the Image Model 4 Ultra is the company's premier AI model, capable of producing photorealistic sceneries, human portraits, and complicated images. Both models include features including filters, style settings, and match compositions. These are now available to Firefly subscribers.
New features in the Firefly app
Adobe also released numerous more Firefly-based applications. The new Adobe Vector Model uses natural language text prompts to produce editable vector-based artwork, logo variants, product packaging, icons, scenarios, patterns, and more. It may be accessible using the Firefly app.
Aside from in-house work, Adobe is enhancing the Firefly app using third-party AI models. Users may now use OpenAI's picture generating capabilities, as well as Google's picture 3 and Veo 2, as well as the Flux 1.1 Pro, which formerly powered Grok's image generation function prior to the introduction of xAI's native Aurora model. "Adobe also plans to integrate additional models from partners including fal.ai, Ideogram, Luma, Pika and Runway in the coming months," according to the organization.
New Features in Adobe Express
The business also added many new capabilities to Adobe Express, its content production tool. Most of the new capabilities are geared at video editing. Adobe claims that these tools will remove the tiresome aspects of making video content.
A new Clip Maker function will allow users to employ AI to convert lengthier video recordings into shareable snippets. The AI technology will also allow users to improve their material by recognizing crucial moments, adding subtitles, and reframing recordings.
Furthermore, the Drop Zone tool may combine clips into sequences, whilst Scene View rearranges clips, allowing users to batch-edit films in a single flow. Adobe Express is also being integrated with Vimeo, allowing users to easily export and distribute their material to the platform.
Aside from video editing, the content production platform is introducing a Dynamic Animation tool that applies realistic motion effects to objects, transforming static photographs into animated shots.
