Buckingham Palace has confirmed that King Charles and Queen Camilla will host celebrations commemorating the 80th anniversary of VE Day, which will be attended by prominent members of the royal family, including Prince William and Princess Kate.
According to the Daily Mail, the royal couple will lead the nation in commemorating the momentous occasion by recognizing soldiers and members of the Second World War generation.
The monarchs, the Waleses, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne and her husband Sir Tim Laurence, and the Duke of Kent will gather at the Queen Victoria Memorial outside the Palace to "observe military units processing down The Mall."
Notably, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Sir Keir Starmer, is anticipated to present with the royal family.
The important royals will gather on Buckingham Palace's balcony to witness a fly-past, and it has been suggested that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis may accompany their parents.
However, no confirmation has been provided in this respect.
Furthermore, the King, who is the Royal British Legion's patron, will hold a tea party for around "50 veterans and people who lived through the war," together with Camilla.
It is worth noting that King Charles last met with Prince William and Princess Catherine on Commonwealth Day in March.
