Warner Bros. has released a new update for The Penguin season two.
After finishing the first season of the HBO Max TV series, DC fans were excited to hear that the show had been renewed for another season.
However, the creators made it plain that they are not in a hurry to develop another entry since they want to spend as much time as they need to write a storyline that would be on par with the first.
The production firm behind the miniseries just provided another update on the possibility of a second season, but there is one condition.
Channing Dungey, CEO of Warner Bros. TV, discussed the roadblocks to creating a new season.
According to him, one of the obstacles of filming The Penguin 2 is assembling the original ensemble, and he would never want to create the show without Colin Farrell.
"I think if we can get the creative stars to line up in the right way, and the talent is available - because we certainly wouldn't want to do this without Colin [Farrell] and Cristin [Milioti] and that team"
Dungey noted that while there is a potential of a new entry, nothing is currently in the works.
"I would say it's definitely a possibility, but there's nothing in the works at the moment," he told the newspaper.
Farrell, on the other hand, may need some time to adjust to life after losing his father, Emon.
