Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have issued a statement clarifying if the pair utilizes HRH titles despite choosing not to use their royal titles.
This comes after the Duchess of Sussex made a nice gesture that caused unforeseen misunderstanding when a podcast presenter presented a gift she got from Meghan.
Meghan arrived for a frank interview on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, when presenter Jamie Kern Lima displayed the gift basket she received from the Duchess.
The present of handmade strawberry sauce and ice cream came with a letter written "With Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex."
The usage of HRH caused a controversy online since Harry and Meghan had promised not to use their royal titles after retiring as senior royals in 2020.
However, the Sussexes' staff soon replied to the incident, stating that the couple still owns the titles but "does not use" them. They stated that there is no official legal removal of the styles.
According to Hello! Magazine, Harry and Meghan agreed with the late Queen Elizabeth II that, while they may preserve their HRH titles, they would no longer use them publicly after they left their royal positions.
