Meghan Markle has explained the importance of her nickname for husband Prince Harry.
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, affectionately refers to Harry as "H". Her use of this abbreviated moniker is extensively documented, with the most recent use occurring in her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.
Meghan did her first podcast interview on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, where she explained why she came up with such a short moniker for her spouse.
The Suits star revealed that she had to come up with the pseudonym when she started dating Harry since she needed to keep the relationship a secret.
"I couldn't tell anyone who I was dating, and he was keeping it [a secret]." So I believe we were only on a letter basis," she explained.
Harry used Meghan's initials as her moniker for the same reason. The moniker persisted, and even their loved ones adopted their letter-based nicknames.
"I enjoy nicknames a lot. "I love nicknames," said the Duchess.
During the conversation, she also raved over Harry, with whom she had a son, Archie, and daughter, Lilibet.
"My husband is very, very handsome." However, his heart is far more wonderful. "He's also a fox, if you hadn't noticed," Meghna Markle said gleefully.
