Following a stressful incident that left Kate Middleton upset, Prince William looks to be putting his foot down on an important topic.
The Princess of Wales, who had apparently been resolved to fulfill a request for King Charles, is now withdrawing from her mission after receiving a negative update.
Kate has been serving as a go-between for Prince Harry and Prince William over the course of several years. The Princess, who underwent a nine-month cancer treatment last year, had been working to restore peace between the brothers so that the cancer-stricken King could finally see both of his sons together.
However, following Prince Harry's latest shot at the royal family, the Princess of Wales has been upset, with William begging Kate "to stop pushing this idea that they can make peace," according to Heat Magazine.
During his security dispute, Harry alleged that the royal family had reduced his protection in order to force him to continue working in his senior position for the firm.
"For William, it's a claim that's nothing short of ridiculous, and he says it only serves to show how paranoid Harry is," according to a source.
"Suffice to say, he's got no interest in communicating with his brother when he's in this headspace."
According to the source, William is "very saddened by the situation" since he still loves his estranged brother "deep down".
Meanwhile, Kate is in a "no-win situation" with her reunion efforts, urging William to "soften his heart".
"The stand-off has caused so much sadness and tension between them because William's hardline stance has been so hard for her to comprehend," a source told me. "But after Harry's latest antics, it's hard for her to argue his case."
The allegation comes on the heels of William and Kate's royal visit to Scotland, which coincided with their 14th wedding anniversary on April 29.
Kensington Palace stated that the future king and queen would visit the Isles of Mull and Iona from April 29 to 30, with many engagements planned.
However, the pair will have some relaxation throughout their trip.
