Tom Hanks has provided a first look from the set of the highly anticipated film, Toy Story 5.
On April 21, the Forrest Gump actor came to Instagram and uploaded a snapshot of his hand from the recording studio, providing an update on the development of the next Disney Pixar film.
In the caption, Tom, who will reprise his legendary role as Wood in the film, writes, "First day of work on a specific Story Number 5! Need a hint? Disney. Studio "B."
However, the upcoming film is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 19, 2026.
Meanwhile, Tim Allen already detailed his first voice recording session for Toy Story 5, where he will reprise his role as Buzz Lightyear.
Tim told Collider that he has just finished his "first five-hour [recording] session for Buzz".
In another interview, the Shifting Gears actress said that the next film would center on Jessie (the cowgirl initially seen in Toy Story 2).
"Tom Hanks and I—Woody and I—do realign. And there's an incredible opening sequence featuring Buzz Lightyear. I can offer you that, but I can't give you much else," he said.
