Ashley Greene is reflecting on her Twilight days—and yeah, it wasn't exactly a financial bonanza at first.
Even though she helped create one of the most successful adolescent film franchises of the 2000s, her salary for the first picture was far more "small indie film" than "box office blockbuster."
"At the time, I considered it a lot. But yeah, I think we had Schedule F," Greene, 38, said Michael Rosenbaum on the Inside of You program on April 8.
For those unfamiliar with Hollywood jargon, "Schedule F" refers to a contract that specifies a fixed fee for an actor regardless of how many days they are on set. Essentially, it's a set check with no advantage for additional sparkling time.
Greene did not reveal much more about her financial situation, but fans of the story may be startled to find that her salary was far lower than that of starring performers Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
As Bella and Edward, they were claimed to have earned roughly $2 million apiece for their debut appearance in the Twilight franchise.
Greene acknowledged that her income increased with each sequel. "Peter Facinelli … because he had been established," she explained, saying that even some supporting cast members made more initially.
"But all of the people who hadn't done much [got paid less]."
Greene was a steady presence throughout the narrative, playing Alice in all five films: New Moon, Eclipse, and both sections of Breaking Dawn.
And, while her early pay did not scream "immortal riches," her involvement in the cultural phenomena obviously left an indelible mark—and, later, a larger check.
