AMD revealed the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series, their most recent high-performance CPUs, at Computex 2025. The top-of-the-line CPU, the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX, has 96 cores and a max clock speed of 5.4GHz. AMD also released the Radeon RX 9060 XT and Radeon AI PRO R9700 GPUs, which have up to 16GB and 32GB of video memory, respectively. The Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU is said to have double the ray tracing throughput of its predecessor.

Pricing for the new AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 WX-Series CPUs has yet to be released, however AMD claims they will be available in the coming months via OEMs such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Supermicro. Meanwhile, the Ryzen Threadripper 9000 Series CPUs will be available at retail in July.
The AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU is available in two configurations: 8GB and 16GB, priced at $299 (approximately Rs. 25,600) and $349 (about Rs. 29,900), respectively. It will be available for purchase later this year from GPU manufacturers including Acer, ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, PowerColor, Sapphire, Vastarmor, XFX, and Yeston.
The chipmaker has yet to reveal a price for the AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700 GPU, which will be available from GPU makers in July.
AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9000 Series Specifications
AMD has launched six versions in the new Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 WX series, each having up to 96 cores, 192 threads, a peak clock speed of 5.4GHz, and a TDP of 350W. The business has also unveiled three new Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series CPUs, each having up to 64 cores, a peak clock speed of 5.4GHz, and a TDP of up to 350W.
According to the business, the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 WX series (headed by the 9995WX model) is designed for visual effects, simulation, and AI model development. These processors have up to 384MB L3 cache and feature PCIe 5.0 connection (128 lanes).
On the other side, the Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series is intended for content producers and developers working on local AI training. AMD claims that these chips may be used for AI training without relying on the cloud, but does not provide particular AI models.
AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT and AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700 specifications
AMD's new Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU comes with up to 16GB of GDDR6 video memory, 32 RDNA 4 compute units, and a boost clock speed of 3.13GHz. It is said to provide double the ray tracing throughput of the chipmaker's prior iteration. The GPU supports features such as FSR 4 for greater frame rates and increased image quality, as well as AI technologies that need FP8 data types.
Meanwhile, the AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700 boasts second-generation AI accelerators, 32GB of GDDR6 memory, 64 RDNA compute units, and a boost clock speed of up to 2.92GHz. It may also be utilized with multiple GPUs. The ROCm software stack is now supported on Linux, and AMD plans to support Windows in the future.
