Benny Blanco just revealed the biggest dispute he had with Selena Gomez.
The couple, who just released their joint album I Said I Love You First, were engaged in December 2024 and have been the talk of the town ever since.
Blanco appeared on Nova's Ricki-Lee, Tim, and Joel, where he discussed his relationship with Gomez.
When host Ricki-Lee Coulter asked the producer how he and his fiancée dealt with the potential minefield that comes with collaborating on a creative endeavor, Blanco said, "Honestly, she's so easy."
His memory was: "When we first started making it [the album], if anything starts to feel weird, we're stopping this immediately, and it never did."
Blanco then recalled that the most heated disagreement he had with the Calm Down crooner was over bird chirping.
"The biggest thing we got in was about birds," he said.
He stated that when the couple recorded the CD in their home's guest bedroom, it became clear that Gomez was not alone.
"For some reason there was a nest of birds that were right outside the window where she was recording," he said. He continued: "I never heard it because whenever I walked in the birds didn't make noise."
As Gomez got angry with Blanco's inability to hear the birds, the producer stated, "It was quite annoying. Finally, she recorded it on wax, it was picked up by the microphone, and I heard it."
"It made me realize, 'Oh gosh, we're truly suited for each other,' since we don't argue. We're not like yellers; we just talk it out. "We have excellent communication skills," Benny Blanco remarked.
