Coldplay, the world-renowned British rock band, has a mysterious member who has now revealed his identity.
Chris Martin leads the successful rock band, which features guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion.
However, another member has claimed to being a 'occasional member of Coldplay' and playing 'tambourine' with the band.
It is none other than Simon Pegg, the renowned Mission: Impossible actor.
During a recent appearance on the Jimmy Fallon Show, Pegg stated, "I occasionally play tambourine with Coldplay." I play in the band on occasion."
He said, "I used to play harmonica." The first time I performed it was in 2001 at a festival in the United Kingdom."
"And Chris Martin would always ask me to come and play whenever he was in London, he'd say play harmonica on a tune and it made me so nervous and eventually I just said, 'please can I just play the tambourine'."
The 55-year-old said that now when he sees the musicians, they give him a tambourine on a silver cushion.
"And I get up there and I play for one song, and I feel what it's like to be a rockstar" , commented Simon.
After hearing the entire tale, Fallon displayed a photo of a Coldplay concert, where Pegg can be seen standing in the back playing his instrument.
