Kenan Thompson promised that Saturday Night Live season 51 will bring "a lot of change."
Catching up with Page Six, the 47-year-old American actor and comedian said that the late-night show's roster might change ahead of season 51.
Thompson went on: "Especially this year where it feels like there's maybe, possibly, a lot of change next year."
He stated, "You want everyone to stay forever, knowing that people may make decisions this summer..." It's always as if you want your children to remain young."
When asked about returning to the 51st season of SNL, the Good Burger star replied, "You simply never know what the future holds. I don't want to be in the way of someone else, nor do I want to be the stale old man riding the same thing. That doesn't happen very often on 'SNL', but there are no assurances, I suppose."
Thompson went on to say that SNL is "one of his favorite places to be."
For those who are unaware, The Grinch has appeared on SNL 22 times, making him one of the most frequent actors in the show's history.
It is worth noting that Kenan Thompson has not opted to return to the program for the 23rd season.
