King Charles has made an important choice about Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Hello! Magazine said that the monarch has postponed a major royal custom that would allow the Prince and Princess of Wales to issue royal warrants.
For those who are unfamiliar, royal warrants are a historic sign of approval provided to businesses who provide products or services to the Royal Family.
However, the delay means that companies looking for formal recognition from Kate and William would have to wait a bit longer.
According to royal editor Emily Nash, "For the brands and companies, having the endorsement of a royal warrant from William and Kate would bring huge kudos as well as a huge boost."
"We've seen the impact of the 'Kate effect' on fashion over the years, so this official royal seal of approval would be huge for the designers, services and companies the couple favour," she explained further.
It is worth noting that if King Charles does not provide his approval, Kate Middleton, Prince William's wife, would become the first Princess of Wales to grant royal warrants in almost a century.
