The King and Queen, who are on an official tour to Canada, issued a joint statement hours after a vehicle drove into a crowd of Liverpool supporters during a celebration, injuring 27 people.
The horrific event occurred when many were celebrating legendary moments from their team's Premier League victory.
Buckingham Palace announced the King and Queen's status on the royal family's official Instagram account.
