Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were denied permission to take public photos with Queen Elizabeth II.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were hoping to take photographs of their daughter, Princess Lilibet, on her first birthday in the UK, were advised that no images were permitted.
An insider informed The Sun that Harry and Meghan wanted their photographer to record the moment Lilibet greeted the Queen. However, they were assured there was no possibility. This was a private family gathering."
They went further to say: "There were fears any photos of the Queen and Lilibet taken by the couple's photographer would be shared by them with US telly networks."
This comes when Prince Harry recounts Lilibet's first visit with Her Majesty.
He said in his biography Spare, "Archie making his deep bows, his baby sister Lilibet cuddling the monarch's shins." Granny, puzzled, responded, "The sweetest children." She anticipated them to be more... American, I believe? In her view, this means "more rambunctious."
