Prince William has described David Attenborough as an influence to him and his children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The Prince of Wales, who has three children with Kate Middleton, paid a poignant homage to David before his 99th birthday on May 8, 2025, according to The Mail.
William expressed his gratitude to the newspaper, "May we all raise a glass to a true giant - and continue the mission he has led with such grace and urgency."
"We commemorate not just a number of years, but a lifetime of outstanding service to our world. David has brought the marvels of the Earth into our homes and hearts thanks to his limitless curiosity, gentle wisdom, and unshakable dedication," the future King remarked.
He went on: "His voice has become a guiding light in our understanding of nature, and his message - that we must cherish and protect our planet - has never been more vital."
"He has inspired my children and me in so many ways," the Prince of Wales added.
It's worth noting that it comes as Sir David Attenborough prepares to premiere his new documentary, Ocean, on his birthday.
with the documentary, David, who was heavily involved with Prince William's Earthshot Prize and has also worked with King Charles, comments on what he has learned after years of studying Earth.
