Queen Elizabeth II will be much missed during tomorrow's VE Day in London.
Her Majesty, who was deeply attached to the world War II soldier, made an impression on the globe via her compassion.
The whole senior members of the Royal Family attended the Buckingham Palace celebration, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton.
Former photographer Arthur Edwards comments on the Royals' balcony appearance, saying, "World War II veterans adored Queen Elizabeth — she was one of the great generation — and wherever she met them, the world over, they had a special bond with their monarch."
"I'm sure many of the veterans in Londonyesterday wished, like me, that she had been there for what will probably be the last time we will be able to say a heartfelt thank you on a grand scale like this," according to him.
