Scarlett Johansson just debuted as a filmmaker with the film Eleanor the Great.
Her all-new drama picture premiered at the 2025 Cannes film Festival, moving spectators to tears.
Even after such an emotional start as a director, the Lucy star is unsure if she wants to pursue it further or solely work in front of the camera.
When asked if this first directorial film would mark the beginning of a new professional path, Scarlett answered, "I'm not sure. I am not sure. "I suppose we'll see."
The 40-year-old stated that she intends to work on projects that she will watch, such as Jurassic World or Eleanor the Great.
"The commerciality of things is vital to me. Would audiences want to watch this? Is this usually interesting? These are the things I seek for, focus on, and care about. So, we'll see," Johanssan explained.
The new 2025 film, directed by the highest-paid woman in Hollywood, stars June Squibb and Chiwetel Ejiofor in pivotal roles.
