Scarlett Johansson has revealed her honest reaction to Avengers' triumph.
During an interview with Vanity Fair magazine, the Black Widow actress confessed that they had no clue what the potential of The Avengers movie was at the time.
Scarlett noted that Iron Man was "massively successful," and that it helped to establish Marvel Studios.
Later, Iron Man 2 was similarly popular, according to Transformers One star, and there came Thor, who seemed to come from a another universe.
"The tone of the Iron Man movies differed from the rest of the MCU... "And then Captain America has its own identity," the 40-year-old explained.
Scarlett found the addition of other characters, including Hulk and Hawkeye, to be overwhelming.
The actress said that even on set, it seemed weird since "we all looked insane".
Except for Kevin Feige and Joss Whedon, the rest of the cast had no idea the film would turn out so well.
However, Scarlett revealed to the actors that it was all a question of "blind faith," which we all had in Joss and Kevin.
In one scenario, all the actors were gathered in front of Grand Central, allowing for a 360-degree view... So it was the point at which we all realized that this may actually work.
"It felt powerful and cool," the actress explained.
Scarlett stated, "We were young, having a great time with a great group of actors, and eventually we all became good friends..." "It was a blast."
