The highly awaited third and final season of Netflix's smash series Squid Game has here, and fans got their first look at what's to come in the complete trailer, which was presented on Saturday at the Tudum fan event.
The teaser sees protagonist Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) returning to the deadly games following the failed revolt that closed season two.
The stakes are bigger than ever, and the competition is fiercer this season. Gi-hun is shown doubting the game's abilities and yelling, "Why didn't you murder me? Why have you kept me alive? "Why did you let me live?"
The teaser also shows players navigating a perplexing maze and engaging in a lethal game of jump rope before Gi-hun faces battle against the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun).
Season three of Hwang Dong-hyuk's Netflix blockbuster, Squid Game, represents the end of the story. All episodes will be available on Netflix beginning June 27.
Although the actual number of episodes has not been confirmed, sources indicate there will be six.
The second season ended on a cliffhanger, with Gi-hun and his followers taken hostage after the games were left unfinished. In the new season, recognizable characters return, including the Front Man, detective Hwang Jun-ho, and other previous seasons' participants.
