Brad Pitt recently said that Formula One drivers had a harder life than movie stars.
Reflecting on the dangers of celebrity, the Troy star revealed that there were certain similarities between movie stars and racing car drivers despite their dissimilar occupations.
"There's an isolation," the 61-year-old told GQ magazine in a recent interview.
Brad told the site, "Even loneliness may occur when things don't seem to be connecting. They generally lead to something bigger, and you may find meaning in it."
"But there is a definite isolation and it's not necessarily a negative, it's an endeavour and a constant discussion with you and yourself of maintaining this thing," said the actor associated with Bullet Train.
Brad elaborated on how F1 drivers suffer more scrutiny than movie stars, stating that they have it tough.
"Those guys are so scrutinized and that sport is so revered and there are so many of us that think we could do it, too, just because we drive a car fast down the freeway or something," said the actor who plays Wolfs.
Interestingly, Brad expressed surprise, saying, "They've got to have thicker skin than even us."
He acknowledged that actors were not immune to criticism, but the IF star thought that Formula One drivers had been subjected to an even harsher scrutiny.
"They're in the spotlight like few others," he added.
Brad went on to say, "It is a sport that many people follow, and many believe that they can start their own business simply because they run fast on the highway." They receive an outrageous amount of criticism."
Meanwhile, Brad's new F1 film will enter theaters on June 27.
