Colin Farrell, an Irish actor, has finally spoken out on the potential of a second season of The Penguin.
Matt Reeves Batman (2022) was the 49-year-old actor's debut as the famous character. Later, he played the title character in an HBO-backed miniseries created by Lauren LeFranc.
The first season astounded fans and critics, who characterized Colin's performance as 'outright fantastic.' They are excitedly waiting for the show's creators to renew it for another season.
Earlier in April, Channing Dungey, Chairman and CEO of Warner Bros Television Group, revealed that season 2 is not in development. However, he said that 'he would never say never.'
Now, the actor from In Bruges has dashed expectations for the new season, claiming that 'it is impossible'.
Farrell isn't saying this because he had to put on fake makeup for hours every morning. Rather, he believes there is no room for a second section in the tale.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: "I certainly think it makes [a second season] more difficult," he told me. "[Killing Vic] is a difficult thing to recover from. It isn't impossible, but it is a more difficult hill to climb."
The Golden Globe winner may not return for The Penguin season 2, but he will undoubtedly reprise his internationally recognized comic book character in the upcoming Batman 2.
