While users of the two subscription services will likely make up the majority of the game's player population, Remedy described the milestone as "significant" and praised FBC: Firebreak fans.

FBC: Firebreak is a three-player cooperative shooter set in the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) headquarters from Remedy's 2019 action-adventure game Control. The game is accessible on Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, where users may play it for free. Both services are anticipated to make significant contributions to the FBC: Firebreak player base. On Steam, the game has seen an all-time high of 1,992 concurrent players.
The co-op title puts players in the shoes of Firebreak agents, FBC's first responders entrusted with suppressing a supernatural threat within the Oldest House. FBC: Firebreak offers PvE battles against other players online.
