The ascension of Prince William and Kate Middleton may occur sooner than planned, as the Palace ramps up its coronation preparations.
Previous reports have indicated that the Prince and Princess of Wales have "quietly prepared" for their future responsibilities as King and Queen.
Even though Buckingham Palace has cleared the air concerning King Charles' health as he undergoes cancer treatment, it appears that planning for William and Kate are still continuing, according to insiders.
According to RadarOnline, Kate was "crowned queen" during a discreet ceremony as part of her covert royal training.
"Kate wore a crown and has been taking lessons in what it means to be queen ahead of King Charles's death, and was crowned in a hush-hush ceremony to prepare her for what's coming," a source told the publication, stating that she was "beautifully received" .
The claims came after it was discovered that King Charles had postponed the main accolade he planned to bestow upon his son and daughter-in-law.
The Waleses were slated to receive a centuries-old practice of granting royal warrants to chosen brands - a distinction formerly held only for kings - but the King had not yet approved the action.
Charles is supportive of Kate and William's training, so the announcement was unexpected. However, the delay has been attributed to logistics.
