Chad Stahelski has revealed his ambitions to create another spin-off following Ballerina.
Ana de Armas' film is a spin-off of Keanu Reeves' third and fourth John Wick films.
It debuted successfully at the box office on June 6. Now, the filmmaker has officially revealed his ideas for another film set in the universe of John Wick.
He aims to make a film on Donny Yen's Caine. Chad has revealed if Reeves will make a cameo in the future film.
Stahelski went on to say, "The Donny Yen spinoff does not feature the John Wick character. It stars Donny Yen and is an homage to kung fu films."
While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, the 56-year-old filmmaker claimed that Yen's spinoff picture will be 'an tribute to kung fu flicks'.
He stated, "If John Wick 1 was about Charles Bronson and Lee Marvin, then this is about Chow Yun-fat, John Woo, and Wong Kar-wai." So I believe that one is simpler to communicate to audiences because it is in a sub-genre of what we enjoy."
Meanwhile, Ana, Keanu, Lance Reddick, Ian McShane, Norman Reedus, and many others star in the film Ballerina, which was recently released in theaters.
