Princess Anne once again demonstrated that duty comes first.
Rather of celebrating her forthcoming 75th birthday with a major royal event, the Princess Royal chose to spend the day with those she values the most: those working in the charitable sector.
Last Thursday (June 5), Anne hosted nearly 200 delegates from 111 of her patronages at Buckingham Palace, and she made sure to thank her brother King Charles for allowing her to use the palace for the special event.
The Palace issued its own statement, stating on social media that "the event discussed key topics such as challenges facing the sector, public trust in charities, and the opportunities and risks presented by new technologies."
