Cristiano Ronaldo's new watch features 388 gemstones. We wouldn't be surprised if some watch collectors were jealous of Cristiano Ronaldo's new timepiece.
The unique Caviar Flying Tourbillon "Tsavorites" is the latest eye-catching perk from the football legend's partnership with Jacob & Co. The name of the gleaming bespoke timepiece is derived from the nearly all-green jewels that adorn it.
The watch's eye-catching colour was chosen as a nod to Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo relocated earlier this month after joining the football team Al Nassr. Tsavorites are less expensive than their cousins but 200 times rarer, so the watchmaker chose them over emeralds to achieve the verdant hue.
The case, bezel, face, and crown of the watch are all set with 388 premium, baguette-cut tsavorites. While this may appear to be overkill, it gives the watch a stunning, all-green appearance that is difficult to overlook. The only part of the watch that isn't covered in stones is the strap, which is made of green alligator leather.
The watch's calibre JCAA43 movement has bridges designed specifically for the gem setting. The hand-wound calibre powers the flying tourbillon for hours, minutes, and seconds at six o'clock. It has 42 hours of battery life and 216 components.
If you want something green to adorn your wrist, you're out of luck. The Caviar Flying Tourbillon "Tsavorite," valued at $780,000 by Hypebeast, is reserved for football's all-time leading goal scorer.
Fortunately for Ronaldo's fans, Jacob & Co. is selling a variety of watches with Ronaldo-themed designs.
The rose gold Flight of CR7 and the stainless-steel Heart of CR7 are two watches introduced by the company at the end of last year. Each watch is available in two variations, one with diamonds and one without; each is limited to 99 pieces and ranges in price from $34,988 to $181,331.
