'It Ends With Us' confronts Blake Lively. Blake Lively has just been cast in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's best-selling novel It Ends With Us.
Lively is set to play Lily Bloom, a small-town graduate who moves to Boston in the hopes of opening her own flower shop.
The film will also feature the film's director, Justin Baldoni, who will play Ryle Kincaid.
The book's description also hints at what fans can expect from the production, which reads.
"As Lily finds herself breaking [Ryle's] 'no dating' rule, she can't help but wonder what made him that way in the first place."
"As she struggles with her new relationship, she is haunted by memories of Atlas Corrigan, her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her protector and kindred spirit. Everything Lily has built with Ryle is jeopardised when Atlas reappears unexpectedly."
For those who are unfamiliar, the book revolves around themes of domestic abuse and is loosely based on Hoover's own childhood.
"I just want everyone to know how appreciative I am to my mother, who got us out of a scary situation when I was a little girl and brought us here to this house which doesn't look like much, but this house was full of love and joy," the writer said on Instagram.
"Thank you for making that difficult decision, Mom. This house is full of wonderful memories for me."
